Errands & Appointments
Caregivers can run errands, shop for goods, transport people to appointments or outings for pleasure.- Dropping off packages to be mailed (Under 30lbs each)
- Shopping for groceries, clothing and picking up other items
- Transport people to their appointments and back
- Take people out to see the sights and breathe the ocean air or whatever they may prefer
- Assist with mobilization from the vehicle to the appointment location and back
- Assist to move, setup and use transport wheelchairs and walkers
- Assist with stand and pivot transfers, from vehicle to wheelchair and vice versa
- If desired, caregivers can take notes at appointments and document them on the client file for later reading.
- We recommend giving the clinic advance notice and permission that the caregiver may be present during the visit.

Clients need to be able to mobilize in and out of the vehicle
with minimal assistance. Caregivers cannot lift or weight bear for clients during mobilization and transfers.
- If the client can stand and reposition themselves while seated then caregivers can assist with stand and pivot transfers from vehicle to wheelchair and vice versa.
