Injected Medications

Nurses provide in-home injections for prescribed medications and materials.

Injections could include:

  • Medications
  • Vitamin or hormone replacement
  • Bee venom and other uncommon injections

Injections would not include:

  • Vaccinations at home are uncommon unless provided by your local health unit for individuals with no other option. Vaccination injections require different nurse education, must be ordered due to the short shelf-life and may require confirmed medication custody within a temperature range.
Pro-tip: Bruising can happen from injections - even with perfect technique!
