Home Care serving Port Hardy & North Island
CommunityPlus provides compassionate home care and nursing services in Port Hardy. Locally owned, Living Wage certified, nurse-supervised care.
Home Care on the North Island
The North Island (Port Hardy, Port McNeill, Alert Bay and the surrounding communities) is among the most remote regions we serve, and dependable home care here means a provider that understands the distances involved.
CommunityPlus brings skilled, nurse-supervised caregiving to North Island families: personal care, medication support, meal preparation, mobility assistance and companionship, plus driving and accompanying clients to and from appointments at Port Hardy and Port McNeill hospitals. We're upfront about how travel time works in rural and remote areas, so the arrangement is clear from the start. From a single weekly visit to 24-hour care, every client is overseen by our nursing team. In a part of the Island where consistent help is genuinely hard to come by, being BC's only private Living Wage employer is what lets us recruit and retain the caregivers North Island families can rely on.
