Home Care serving Saltspring and the Gulf Islands
CommunityPlus provides compassionate home care and nursing services in Salt Spring Island. Locally owned, Living Wage certified, nurse-supervised care.
Home Care on Salt Spring & the Gulf Islands
Across the Southern Gulf Islands (Salt Spring, Pender, Galiano, Mayne and Saturna), CommunityPlus provides skilled, nurse-supervised home care for island families who treasure where they live and want to stay there as they age.
Island life runs on ferry schedules, and so does dependable care: we plan visits around sailings so support arrives reliably, not whenever it's convenient. Our caregivers help with personal care, medication support, meal preparation, mobility assistance and companionship, and accompany clients to and from appointments at Lady Minto / Gulf Islands Hospital on Salt Spring and to mainland or Victoria specialists when needed. Care scales from a single weekly visit to 24-hour support, with nurse oversight throughout. As BC's only private Living Wage home care employer, we recruit and keep caregivers willing to make island care work, which is exactly why Gulf Islands families can count on us when others won't make the trip.

The fare is collected in one direction only (the return leg is already paid), so one round-trip fare covers the caregiver and the vehicle.
