CommunityPlus provides an industry leading Vacation and Paid Time Off (PTO) policy.
  • Employees start with 2 week (4%) PTO accrual.
  • PTO increases by half a week (1%) every 2000 hours worked; roughly 1 year working full-time.
  • PTO maxes out at 6 weeks (12%) after 16000 hours worked which is roughly 8 years working full-time.
Please note, our healthy PTO entitlements are meant to cover the range of life’s needs including bereavement, personal days, other types of absence.
  • Employees who no longer contribute to CPP qualify for an additional 2% PTO retiree bonus.
  • Employees who don’t use their sick entitlement can qualify for an additional 2% PTO increase.
CommunityPlus recognizes Federal and Provincial statutory holidays and we also pay holiday rates for Halloween Evening from 1600 to midnight, Christmas Evening from 1600 to midnight and Double-Time on Christmas with no added charge to clients. Average Day Pay is paid as a regular 5% wage addition. Employees with CommunityPlus sign averaging agreements and always receive Average Day Pay regardless of the normal qualification requirements.
Pro-tip: Most private organizations do not provide more than the legislated minimum Paid Time Off which maxes out at 3 weeks PTO (6%) after 5 years of consecutive employment. After 5 years of full-time employment our employees are at 4.5 weeks PTO (9%) plus any Bonus PTO they are earning.
