Our Paid Time Off policy is among the best in the industry. New employees start at 2 weeks (4%) and accrue another half week (1%) for every 2,000 hours worked, roughly a year of full-time work. PTO maxes out at 6 weeks (12%) after 16,000 hours, or about 8 years full-time.
That accrual covers the full range of life's needs: bereavement, personal days, and any other absence. On top of it, employees who no longer contribute to CPP qualify for an additional 2% retiree bonus, and employees who don't use their sick entitlement can earn another 2% PTO increase.
Statutory and Recognized Holidays
We recognize all federal and provincial statutory holidays. We also pay holiday rates on Halloween evening (1600 to midnight) and Christmas Eve evening (1600 to midnight), plus double-time on Christmas Day itself. Clients pay no extra for any of it.
Average Day Pay
Average Day Pay is built in as a flat 5% wage addition. Every CPC employee signs an averaging agreement and receives Average Day Pay on every stat, regardless of the usual qualification rules that trip people up at other agencies.
